PVD Laboratory

A member of our research group, associate professor Pavel Souček habilitated in the field of Plasma physics. His habilitation thesis deals with the deposition of protective hard coatings, which are synthesized utilizing technologies such as reactive magnetron sputtering. It refers to the novel materials with high hardness, low friction and excellent adhesion. Colleagues from the field highlight perspective of the topic of protective hard coatings not only in further research but mostly their utilization for practical applications in many sectors.
