Open Days at MU 2021, this time, online

On January 23 and 26, 2021, the doors of Masaryk University were wide open, but only the imaginary ones, online! Three of our doctoral students guided those thinking about studying at the Faculty of Science in our PVD laboratories. They explained to visitors what the plasma is and how the magnetron sputtering process works, what the plasma is used for in the industry and practice. They also showed all of our magnetrons in which we study plasma, including one in which they ignited plasma. Some posters from scientific conferences we have attended in the past were put up. In the end, our bachelor's student advised the candidates a few tips and tricks on how to master the study of the physics in the first year and what topics of bachelor's theses can be chosen.
